Ah….summertime in the South! For us that means a lot of things, including PEACHES!! Today I am going to share one of the absolute best recipes ever with you….
The Best {and easiest} Homemade Peach Cobbler Recipe Ever!
This recipe was given to me from a co-worker 15 or so years ago! It was her mother’s and it it simply the best! Here is what you will need…
2 cups sliced, fresh peaches {I use the very ripe ones, a little squishy!}
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 stick melted butter
Pour melted butter into a 9×9 baking dish. Mix flour, 1/3 cup sugar, baking powder and milk together. Pour mixture over melted butter. mix remaining sugar with the peaches. Pour the peaches on top of the batter in the dish. DO NOT STIR!!
Bake @ 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes !
Seriously, the batter cooks around the peaches and this is just heavenly! Serve it up hot with some good old fashioned vanilla ice cream and call it a day!
So do you have any go to recipes for the summertime?
