Party planning is in full swing over here and I could not have been more thankful to have FrogTape® Shape Tape™ as part of my crafting arsenal. I wanted to make a chevron sign for our “glow-in-the-dark” table, but after using the tape, I decided to go ahead and make two!
The Shape Tape is Frog Tape Brand’s first edge treated painter’s tape with pre cut patterns. It comes in chevron, scallop and wave. Unlike any other painter’s tape, Shape Tape has PaintBlock®Technology. PaintBlock® is a super-absorbant polymer that reacts with latex paint and gels to form a barrier that seals the edges of the tape. This tape is perfect for wall treatments, furniture restorations, and even smaller craft project like the one I’m sharing today. No project is too big or too small for this stuff! I love that I could incorporate a chevron pattern with little work on my part!
You can see it in action here…
Want to make your own glow-in-the-dark Tricks and Treats sign? Here are the instructions…
- Chevron FrogTape® Shape Tape
- Wooden Sign
- Black Paint
- Glow in the Dark Paint
- Vinyl word cut-outs
- White Paint
Step One. Paint two coats of white paint, let dry. Follow up with two coats of the glow-in-the-dark paint. let dry.
Step Two. Cut two lengths of the tape, making sure that the pattern is matching up like you want it to. Place the tape on the sign where you want it to be. While pressing down on one corner, lift the paper off the back of the tape and smooth down as you remove it. Repeat with the other half once you are finished. See.. so easy!
Step Three. Paint the outer edges with the black paint. Remove the tape and marvel at how well it works! Now for the fun part… it glows!!
