Exactly what is HGTVGardens?

HGTVGardens is a new interactive, online gardening site full of wonderful information, photos, tips, and a community where you can post questions and get answers…

The sense of community and helpful answers and resources are wonderful. You simply post a question, and the friendly community answers your question and offers great feedback. It is like having an online conversation with other folks just like lovers.

So how do you get started on the HGTVGardens site?

The first thing I did was to become a community member of  HGTVGardens by setting up an account for us.  It was super easy. Stop by and check out our profile! Once I did that I was able to upload some of our favorite gardening photos, like this one…

What a great way to show off your favorite gardening photos and check out other community members’ photos. Such a wonderful source of inspiration! one of my favorite aspects of the HGTVGardens site is the plant finder tool

Just click on the aspects of the plants that apply to you ,and you will get suggestions based on your local planting zone. It is a very extensive tool that gives you detailed information on what plants will do well in very specific gardens. Now, it doesn’t get much easier than that!

What else can I find on HGTVGardens?

Even though I truly love to garden, I also adore crafts. There is even a section for crafts on theHGTVGardens site…

These terra cotta utensil pots  submitted by a community member are just too cute!

If you love crafting with a gardening theme, using gardening items in crafts, or making items for your garden…the inspiration in the crafts section { under the Lifestyle tab} on the HGTVGardens site is fabulous.

And what about those Chickens I mentioned in the title of this post?

Well there is even a section on Homesteading { you know living self sufficient } where you can find information and articles { and cute photos I may add } on raising Chickens and other animals, as well as other aspects of a self sufficient lifestyle.

From decorating to homesteading  the HGTVGardens site has got you covered!

This new, unique site is also optimized for mobile! Sweet!

So whether you have an iPhone or Android device, you can take HGTVGardens with you for your inspiration on your shopping trips, or in the yard.

So….what are ya waiting on? Head on over to HGTVGardens and check it out? Be sure to become a community member!

Brought to you by the gardening crew at HGTV.
