DIY Laundry Soap & Free Printable Labels
Hello! Malia from Yesterday on Tuesday here with you today. A big hug to Bonnie and Trish for letting me hang out with you today.
I love the hustle and bustle of the holidays, but even with all the cooking, crafting and entertaining, the regular rhythm of life keeps going… in other words– that laundry pile doesn’t take a vacay for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Did you know you can make your own awesome laundry detergent at home with just THREE very common supplies? YES. YOU. CAN!
DIY Laundry Soap
Supplies: 1/2 cup Borax (look for it in the laundry detergent section of the grocery store), 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of glycerin (clear) soap flakes. You’ll also need a cheese grater and a pint sized Mason Jar for storage. Note: Do not use your favorite family cheese grater for this project! You can pick one up at the Dollar Store and dedicate for non-food uses.
Step 1: Grate the soap
Step 2: Mix the soap, Borax and baking soda together.
Step 3: Pour in Mason Jar and shake well.
Step 4: Print out these FREE Laundry Labels.
Simply save the Laundry Soap Tags to your desk top and print out on a piece of sticker paper and cut out (or cut out and use card stock and glue dots).
When doing laundry, use 2 Tablespoons per load.
Here’s to clean laundry! XO Malia
