I know that you guys aren’t surprised, but Bonnie and i just adore chalkboard projects. There is just something about a chalkboard that is so beautiful and also lends the option to change our mind. Not that we ever do that, right? Today we are sharing some gorgeous ways for you to use chalkboards in your home!
There are so many great ideas out there that show how you can use chalkboard paint to transform ordinary objects into really outstanding pieces for your home. Here are a few of my favorites…
I have recently updated my craft room and used chalkboards to get me organized. I love that I will be able to change out these pieces as my needs change. This wouldn’t be possible with other types of tags.
Not all chalkboards have to be black. This gorgeous kitchen sign by Cherished Bliss really takes chalkboard paint into a completely different dimension. I adore the mix of chalk and stained wood.
Just the other day, I came upon such a clever project. KariAnne, the creative genius at Thistlewood Farms, had constructed the coolest calendar out of a bicycle wheel and chalkboard paint. So insanely smart!
My partner-in-crime, Bonnie, made the loveliest platter. She simply taped it off and added chalkboard paint… it is a stunning piece that is a staple in her kitchen decor.
These sweet chalkboard paint plant markers are such a simple project, but so pretty and practical. I love this project by Handmade in the Heartland!
As a Southern girl, I fully appreciate a beautiful monogram. I think that may be why I am so fond of this chalkboard art that The Lilypad Cottage created for her bathroom.
Finally, those crafty twins at LollyJane will show you how to create a chalkboard on any surface and in any color for your home. How fun are these cabinet doors. This really opens up the possibilities of including chalkboards in your decor.
Do you use chalkboards in your home? We’d love to hear about them!
